Spring Songs for Music Therapists

Our Spring songs for music therapy sessions

combine music, movements, visuals and props to increase engagement and enhance learning! Well, technically they aren't alllll Spring-specific, but many of them are, and we like to group all of our songs seasonally so we are sure to pack songs away after three months to keep our sessions fresh!

For our seasonal resource packages we always include two packages, one geared towards our younger school-aged students (ages 5-13), and one geared towards our older school-aged students (ages 14-21). The overarching goals targeted in these original songs are expressive & receptive language, motor skills, and sensory regulation. Several of our students have cortical visual impairment, so in Songs for Spring Resource Package Two, you'll find a couple songs written with these students in mind with tactile props and modified visuals. We provide services at a school for students with disabilities, ages 5-21, so our material is geared towards these. We find many people use our songs in a variety of settings and with a variety of clients and find that bringing in multisensory learning experiences really benefits everyone!

When you download the PDF, you'll receive the login information to stream or download the videos from our website. Each song has an instructional video and recording (for the facilitator, to get it in your ear!). Many of the songs come with printable visuals and they are all multisensory - combining at least two of these components (and often more): music, movements, sign language, visuals, scents, movement props, and tactile props!
