Snowy Day

"Snowy Day" is a motor sequencing song written by board certified music therapist Marie Miller.  This intervention provides opportunities for developing motor skills: bilateral coordination, crossing midline, motor imitation, and motor sequencing. "Snowy Day" also encourages children to provide themselves with sensory input to regulate their bodies.  The song features five high quality printable visuals to enhance learning and engagement.

Age recommendation: Children in the developmental age range of 3-6.

This combines music, visuals and movement to engage and activate young brains to enhance learning.  The package is meant for use as a guide on how to implement the activity.  The accompanying video is an instructional video for the facilitator.

This song is not accompanied by an instrument and utilizes patting legs and singing for beat, rhythm and melody.

*For some of our groups we combine the last two visuals and movements without repeating the chorus in between those final two.  We typically do this with our younger groups who may not be able to attend for the full length of the movement song.

Included in this package:

1. Five high quality printable visuals

2. Instructional video

3. Lyric sheet

We hope you enjoy using this intervention with the children you work with!
