S-P-R-I-N-G is a song about the season of spring, by music therapist Marie Miller. An instructional video of this song can be seen on our YouTube channel, here. The video is also included in this package.
Age recommendation: We use this song in many of our school-age groups, ages 5-21.
Goals targeted: S-P-R-I-N-G targets expressive language skills and gross and fine motor skills and motor imitation through sign language and patting legs. The song is great for beginning discussion around the Spring season and some of the changes we see at this time of year.
Adding visuals enhances engagement, learning and comprehension. This song includes four high quality printable visuals along with the lyrics and chords. We recommend printing the word "Spring" on a high contrast paper, such as light blue or green.
We hope you enjoy using S-P-R-I-N-G with the children you work with!
