"Gorilla Visuals" includes five high quality printable visuals for the song "Matilda the Gorilla" by Mary Rice Hopkins. We've adapted this wonderful song for use in music therapy and added visuals. Our adaptation can be found on our YouTube channel, linked here.
To enhance learning and engagement we've added pictures and sign language. We've made some changes to the open vowel chorus as well as minor changes to the lyrics (Matilda goes to the jungle rather than the circus).
We hope you enjoy using these visuals and sign language to accompany the song "Matilda the Gorilla" with the children you work with!
Goals targeted in this intervention: expressive language, gross and fine motor skills, labeling, and motor imitation.
Included in this package are five high quality printable visuals. The chord and lyric sheet are shared in our blog post here.
We hope you enjoy using these visuals and trying the sign language with the children you work with!
